  3. Set up and feed vacancies to NAS

Why is my NAS integration feed not working?

Firstly, check that your account has been set up with the NAS API feed. Your Customer support manager can help with this!

Or, if you are sending the vacancy through your NAS feed but it is not successfully feeding, then check if your pop up is notifying you of any errors. Simply alter the vacancy based on the error feedback, press save and try the feed again in a couple of minutes!

Are you getting a specific error such as:

Not using apprenticeship/s in the vacancy title

NAS have strict rules on the vacancies being advertised on the RAA platform, so we have to follow their guidelines before your vacancy can be sent over.

Close your NAS pop up and amend your vacancy title to include the word “apprenticeship”, “apprenticeships” or “apprentice” such as Business Admin Apprenticeship or Customer Service Apprentice. Then press save.

Give the vacancy a minute or so to refresh and then press “Send to NAS” to try the process again.

Short description longer than 360 characters

Though your TalentPortal account does not have any character or word limit when it comes to your advertisement, unfortunately NAS does! To advertise the role on the RAA platform, simply close the NAS pop up and amend your short description.

The TalentPortal will keep you informed of your character length, so you can amend your short description accordingly and then press save. Give the vacancy a couple of minutes to refresh and then press “Send to NAS” to try the process again.

Once the vacancy has been successfully loaded to NAS, you are then able to go back to your vacancy details and adapt the vacancy short description to it’s original length. Don’t forget to press save once the changes have been made.

No existing link between provider and employer

Before you can send the vacancy to NAS you need to create a draft vacancy on the RAA platform to show you have a relationship with the employer. But don’t worry! This only takes a minute or so.

Login to your RAA account and select “Create a new vacancy”. Under Select Employer find the right organisation, and ensure the address matches the one you have added to your TalentPortal employer record.

Can’t see the employer? You may need to add them quickly!

When you have confirmed and found the employer, select “yes, this will be my vacancy location”. You now need to create a draft vacancy by adding the following 2 pieces of information:

Add 1 in number of positions

Add a dot in the about the employer field

Don’t worry! None of this information will be shared on the advert, but this quick action does open the relationship between you and the employer.

Click “save and continue” and on the next page select “save and exit”.

You should now see this vacancy on your NAS homepage dashboard as a draft.
