How do I use the video interview service?

The video interview module is simple and easy to use! It's the perfect way for you and employers to screen candidates remotely.

With the TalentPortal video interview service, you and your employers can conduct face to face interviews remotely; saving time and offering a quality screening process too.

 

The Video interview service is simple and easy to use.

Once you have confirmed with the candidate, and employer if necessary, a time and date, access the candidate profile. From here, select create video chat.

The pop up allows you to check the candidate information, adapt the interview time and date and confirm the interviewer details under contact details.

Are you going to be interviewing the candidate?

If you are conducting the interview, then check your details are right

Is the employer conducting the interview?

If the employer is conducting the interview, then add their name, company name and either their mobile or email address  for the video link to be sent to.

If you won’t be present for the interview, you can still gain confirmation of the video link by ticking "Send me a copy of this chat invite via email".

And when you have checked the contact details, and time of the interview press, send request via sms and start chat.

The candidate will then receive a text with a link to the video interview which they can access straight away or on the date and time you have confirmed. This link can only be used once!

The employer will receive either an email or a text with the same information.

When you are ready to start the interview, then select the link on your text, or on your email scroll down and press Open video chat

Allow the interview module to access your device microphone and speakers…and when you are ready “click to start video chat”.

The candidate will logon in the exact same way with their link. And both candidate and interviewer can see the name of the person they are speaking to,  as well as the company name and some interview top tips!
